Esta manh\u00e3, os membros da Ocean Rebellion entregaram um presente ao Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) como parte do seu apelo de uma semana de dura\u00e7\u00e3o para os motoristas da degrada\u00e7\u00e3o dos oceanos, incluindo a pesca industrial corrupta e destrutiva.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A prenda chegou por entrega especial nas pastas de tr\u00eas detectives de peixe com cabe\u00e7a verde. Suspeitam que o MSC tem estado a mentir ao p\u00fablico ao rotular o peixe com s\u00edmbolos de \"captura sustent\u00e1vel\". Entregaram alguns destes peixes, com coragem, como prova desta mentira gritante. As suas pastas foram rotuladas como \"GUERRA SOBRE PEIXES\" e \"LIES CERTIFICADAS MSC\", cada uma delas testemunhando as actividades do MSC. Um caso final, contendo provas de todos os arrast\u00f5es de fundo aprovados pelo MSC, foi rotulado \"ECOCIDE\" - uma descri\u00e7\u00e3o adequada para os m\u00e9todos de pesca industrial apoiados pela certifica\u00e7\u00e3o do MSC.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Actualmente, o Marine Stewardship Council certifica todos os m\u00e9todos de pesca como sustent\u00e1veis e n\u00e3o faz distin\u00e7\u00e3o entre m\u00e9todos de pesca industrial e m\u00e9todos de pesca artesanal na sua rotulagem.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A Ocean Rebellion exige que o MSC deixe de enganar os compradores dos supermercados. Exigimos que Diga a Verdade sobre a destrui\u00e7\u00e3o do arrasto de fundo, e toda a pesca industrial, causa a vida marinha e o fundo do mar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\"Comemos quase todas as prote\u00ednas selvagens na terra, estamos agora no bom caminho para fazer o mesmo aos oceanos. Isto significa que os deixaremos vazios e esgotados dos peixes que outrora nadavam livremente. Temos de acabar agora com a pesca de arrasto pelo fundo e a pesca industrial para dar \u00e0s popula\u00e7\u00f5es de peixes uma oportunidade de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o. Devido ao carbono armazenado pelos organismos marinhos, a ruptura da biodiversidade marinha e a emerg\u00eancia clim\u00e1tica s\u00e3o mais ou menos a mesma coisa.
