Hun enige doel? Mensen laten geloven dat LNG een 'groene brandstof' is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LNG is geen groene brandstof, het is een fossiele brandstof die methaan lekt in alle stadia van productie en gebruik. In feite is LNG op korte termijn 80x meer klimaatopwarming dan CO2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ocean Rebellion gelooft, door lid te zijn van <a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\/about-us\/membership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEA-LNG<\/a>Bedrijven als Shell LNG, Lloyd's Register en Maersk doen aan greenwashing terwijl ze duurzaamheidsclaims maken. Dit kan in strijd zijn met hun <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kingsleynapley.co.uk\/insights\/blogs\/criminal-law-blog\/fcas-anti-greenwashing-rule-takes-effect-what-it-means-for-compliance-and-esg-accountability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wettelijke verantwoordelijkheden<\/a> aandeelhouders en riskeren rechtszaken als dergelijke materi\u00eble risico's, waaronder het risico op rechtszaken, niet goed worden weergegeven in hun gecontroleerde jaarrekeningen. De recente regels van de FCA met betrekking tot greenwashing vereisen in feite dat <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fca.org.uk\/news\/press-releases\/fca-confirms-anti-greenwashing-guidance-and-proposes-extending-sustainability-framework\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\"diensten worden nauwkeurig beschreven<\/a>. Evenzo, <a href=\"https:\/\/ifamagazine.com\/esg-ratings-bill-could-end-tick-box-esg-greenwashing-and-ai-opaqueness-insights-howard-kennedy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">kredietbeoordelingsbureaus<\/a> die er niet in slagen om deze greenwashing te detecteren, slagen er ook niet in om hun abonnees in de financi\u00eble sector accurate duurzaamheidsrapporten te geven.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En dan hebben we het nog niet eens over het niet nakomen van ethische verantwoordelijkheden tegenover bredere belanghebbenden om te voorkomen dat het klimaat, de natuur en de samenleving instorten door de vluchtige uitstoot van methaan en fossiele koolstof die het gevolg is van LNG. LNG is verre van schoon en is een van de smerigste brandstoffen die er zijn.
