Er zijn olielekken, die nemen toe. Het aantal lozingen van plastic korrels en \"nurdle\" neemt ook toe. En er zijn 'spook' visnetten - achtergelaten in de oceaan door onzorgvuldige industri\u00eble vissersschepen, ja ook die nemen toe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eigenlijk nemen alle vormen van oceaanvervuiling toe en dat komt omdat er onvoldoende regelgeving en toezicht is op internationaal niveau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De IMO moet haar werk doen en haar milieuopdracht vervullen. Dit nieuwe orgaan moet het herstel en de aanvulling van de oceaan als enige maatstaf voor succes hebben. Het moet bedrijfsmacht vervangen door mensenmacht.
