Questi lobbisti sono determinati a fare il greenwash del GNL attraverso la loro piattaforma di marionette. <a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEA-LNG.ORG.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GAS NATURALE LIQUEFATTO (GNL) - <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/ID-64-%E2%80%93-FUMES-ships-Report-A4-60037-FV.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>i fatti<br><\/strong><\/a>Il GNL \u00e8 un combustibile fossile che, quando viene estratto, trasportato e bruciato come combustibile marino, rilascia nell'atmosfera il metano, un pericoloso gas che provoca il riscaldamento globale e che \u00e8 pi\u00f9 che sufficiente a ridurre il consumo di carburante. <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/the-climate-implications-of-using-lng-as-a-marine-fuel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">80 volte in pi\u00f9 di riscaldamento climatico<\/a> a breve termine rispetto all'anidride carbonica.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il Gruppo intergovernativo di esperti sul cambiamento climatico (IPCC) delle Nazioni Unite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/report\/ar6\/wg1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">identificato<\/a> una rapida riduzione delle emissioni di metano come una delle principali priorit\u00e0 per limitare il riscaldamento globale a un valore il pi\u00f9 possibile vicino a 1,5\u00b0C. Il rapporto dell'IPCC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/report\/ar6\/wg3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ultimo rapporto<\/a> concentrandosi sulla mitigazione del clima chiarisce che il gas fossile sotto forma di GNL non \u00e8 una soluzione per la decarbonizzazione del trasporto marittimo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrariamente a quanto richiesto dalla scienza del clima, le compagnie di navigazione e portuali sono andate a tutta birra, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cma-cgm.com\/news\/3571\/cma-cgm-to-dedicate-six-new-lng-powered-vessels-to-service-u-s-customers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">investire pesantemente<\/a> nel GNL fossile, sostenendo che il carburante ridurr\u00e0 il loro impatto ambientale e l'inquinamento climatico. Attualmente sono in ordine oltre 785 nuove navi da carico a livello globale, di cui oltre 400 costruite per funzionare con GNL fossile sporco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bruciare pi\u00f9 GNL fossile a bordo delle navi \u00e8 un disastro in divenire per il nostro pianeta. Non farebbe altro che aumentare le emissioni di metano dalle navi, che gi\u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imo.org\/en\/OurWork\/Environment\/Pages\/Fourth-IMO-Greenhouse-Gas-Study-2020.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rosa<\/a> di 150% tra il 2012 e il 2018, secondo l'Organizzazione marittima internazionale (IMO) delle Nazioni Unite. E l'impennata dell'inquinamento da metano sta peggiorando secondo una recente <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emsa.europa.eu\/emter-2025\/full-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EMSA<\/a> e la maggior parte di questa impennata \u00e8 legata all'uso crescente del GNL nel trasporto marittimo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le emissioni di metano riducono anche la qualit\u00e0 dell'aria. Questo nonostante recenti ricerche abbiano smascherato le menzogne di piattaforme di lobbying industriali come <a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MARE\/GNL<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/scijournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1002\/ese3.1934\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La ricerca con revisione paritaria<\/a> rivela che il GNL estratto ed esportato dagli Stati Uniti \u00e8 33% pi\u00f9 inquinante del carbone. Le perdite di metano si verificano durante tutto il processo di estrazione e fornitura del GNL, causando problemi di salute e la distruzione di aree e comunit\u00e0 costiere. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/article\/2024\/jul\/24\/fossil-fuel-liquified-natural-gas-louisiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ovunque appaia un impianto di GNL.<\/a> Queste stesse perdite continuano a bordo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportenvironment.org\/articles\/methane-escaping-from-green-gas-powered-ships-fuelling-climate-crisis-investigation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Navi alimentate a GNL<\/a>contribuendo ad accelerare il collasso climatico. Per nascondere questa scomoda verit\u00e0, l'industria si vanta di <a href=\"https:\/\/saynotolng.org\/resource\/biomethane-infographic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">biometano<\/a> e<a href=\"https:\/\/saynotolng.org\/resource\/factsheet-e-lng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> e-metano<\/a> che rappresentano solo il 6% del mercato UE e ancora meno a livello mondiale (ed entrambi continuano a perdere metano lungo le loro catene di approvvigionamento).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"supportus-block_fe5cf00456f44f7b9c07eb3135b07c46\" class=\"block--supportus\">\n    \n    <p class=\"no-margin\">\n        <strong>Il destino dell'Oceano dipende da tutti noi.<br \/>\r\nI nostri interventi dipendono dal vostro sostegno.<\/strong>\n    <\/p>\n    \n    <div class=\"wp-container-1 wp-block-buttons\">\n\n        <div class=\"wp-block-button button--support\">\n            <a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"\/it\/support-us\/\">Sosteneteci<\/a>\n        <\/div>\n\n        <div class=\"wp-block-button button--contact\">\n            <a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"\/it\/about\/\">Contattateci<\/a>\n        <\/div>\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Stato attuale del GNL e del trasporto marittimo<\/strong><br>Tra il 2012 e il 2018, le emissioni di metano delle navi alimentate a GNL sono cresciute del 150%. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imo.org\/en\/OurWork\/Environment\/Pages\/Fourth-IMO-Greenhouse-Gas-Study-2020.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(Quarto studio sui gas serra dell'IMO 2020)<\/a>. Le emissioni di metano prodotte dal trasporto marittimo nel mondo reale indicano inoltre che il contributo del settore al cambiamento climatico \u00e8 maggiore di quanto precedentemente stimato. Nonostante gli impatti negativi sul clima e sull'ambiente, si prevede che il settore navale assister\u00e0 a un'ulteriore crescita della domanda di GNL, con l'aggiunta prevista di circa 160-500 nuove navi alimentate a GNL ogni anno fino al 2030.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Servono norme forti sul metano all'IMO<\/strong><br>Secondo il <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/report\/ar6\/syr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IPCC (AR6)<\/a>Per affrontare l'emergenza climatica e i suoi impatti devastanti sulle persone \u00e8 necessario affrontare con urgenza le emissioni di metano nel breve periodo. I sostenitori del GNL stanno ingannando i politici sulle reali dimensioni dell'impatto climatico e sanitario del GNL, mettendo a rischio un futuro di sopravvivenza su questo pianeta.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'IMO \u00e8 l'organismo delle Nazioni Unite che regolamenta la navigazione internazionale. <strong>Attualmente non esistono normative internazionali specifiche per le emissioni di metano delle navi. <\/strong>Tuttavia, esistono diverse opportunit\u00e0 per integrare completamente il metano nel quadro normativo dell'IMO durante il Comitato per la protezione dell'ambiente marino (MEPC83).
