Ces lobbyistes sont d\u00e9termin\u00e9s \u00e0 blanchir le GNL par le biais de leur plateforme de marionnettes. <a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEA-LNG.ORG.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>GAZ NATUREL LIQU\u00c9FI\u00c9 (GNL) - <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/ID-64-%E2%80%93-FUMES-ships-Report-A4-60037-FV.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>les faits<br><\/strong><\/a>Le GNL est un combustible fossile qui, lorsqu'il est extrait, transport\u00e9 et br\u00fbl\u00e9 en tant que combustible marin, laisse \u00e9chapper du m\u00e9thane dans l'atmosph\u00e8re - un gaz dangereux pour le r\u00e9chauffement de la plan\u00e8te, qui est plus que jamais d'actualit\u00e9. <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/the-climate-implications-of-using-lng-as-a-marine-fuel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">80 fois plus de r\u00e9chauffement climatique<\/a> \u00e0 court terme que le dioxyde de carbone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Groupe d'experts intergouvernemental sur l'\u00e9volution du climat (GIEC) des Nations unies. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/report\/ar6\/wg1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">identifi\u00e9<\/a> des r\u00e9ductions rapides des \u00e9missions de m\u00e9thane comme l'une des principales priorit\u00e9s afin de limiter le r\u00e9chauffement climatique \u00e0 un niveau aussi proche que possible de 1,5\u00b0C. Le rapport du GIEC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/report\/ar6\/wg3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dernier rapport<\/a> L'accent mis sur l'att\u00e9nuation du changement climatique montre clairement que le gaz fossile sous forme de GNL n'est pas une solution pour la d\u00e9carbonisation du transport maritime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 ce qu'exige la science du climat, les compagnies maritimes et portuaires ont fait marche arri\u00e8re \u00e0 toute vapeur, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cma-cgm.com\/news\/3571\/cma-cgm-to-dedicate-six-new-lng-powered-vessels-to-service-u-s-customers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">investir massivement<\/a> dans le GNL fossile, all\u00e9guant que ce carburant r\u00e9duira leur impact sur l'environnement et la pollution climatique. Plus de 785 nouveaux cargos sont actuellement command\u00e9s dans le monde, dont plus de 400 sont construits pour fonctionner avec du GNL fossile polluant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Br\u00fbler davantage de GNL fossile \u00e0 bord des navires est une catastrophe en devenir pour notre plan\u00e8te. Cela ne ferait qu'augmenter les \u00e9missions de m\u00e9thane des navires, qui sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imo.org\/en\/OurWork\/Environment\/Pages\/Fourth-IMO-Greenhouse-Gas-Study-2020.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rose<\/a> de 150% entre 2012 et 2018, selon l'Organisation maritime internationale (OMI) des Nations unies. Et l'augmentation de la pollution au m\u00e9thane s'aggrave selon une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude de l'OMI. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emsa.europa.eu\/emter-2025\/full-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EMSA<\/a> Cette augmentation est principalement li\u00e9e \u00e0 l'utilisation croissante du GNL dans le transport maritime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9missions de m\u00e9thane diminuent \u00e9galement la qualit\u00e9 de l'air. Et ce, malgr\u00e9 les recherches r\u00e9centes qui ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 les mensonges des plates-formes de lobbying industriel telles que <a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SEA\/LNG<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/scijournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1002\/ese3.1934\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La recherche \u00e9valu\u00e9e par des pairs<\/a> r\u00e9v\u00e8le que le GNL extrait et export\u00e9 des \u00c9tats-Unis est 33% plus polluant que le charbon. Des fuites de m\u00e9thane se produisent tout au long du processus d'extraction et d'approvisionnement en GNL, entra\u00eenant des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 et la destruction de zones et de communaut\u00e9s c\u00f4ti\u00e8res. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/article\/2024\/jul\/24\/fossil-fuel-liquified-natural-gas-louisiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">partout o\u00f9 une usine de GNL appara\u00eet.<\/a> Ces m\u00eames fuites se poursuivent \u00e0 bord <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportenvironment.org\/articles\/methane-escaping-from-green-gas-powered-ships-fuelling-climate-crisis-investigation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Navires fonctionnant au GNL<\/a>et contribue \u00e0 acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l'effondrement du climat. Les \u00e9missions r\u00e9elles de m\u00e9thane provenant du transport maritime indiquent \u00e9galement que la contribution du secteur au changement climatique est plus importante que ce que l'on estimait jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent. Malgr\u00e9 les effets n\u00e9gatifs sur le climat et l'environnement, le secteur du transport maritime devrait conna\u00eetre une nouvelle croissance de la demande de GNL, avec l'ajout pr\u00e9vu d'environ 160 \u00e0 500 nouveaux navires aliment\u00e9s au GNL chaque ann\u00e9e jusqu'en 2030.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L'OMI doit adopter des r\u00e9glementations strictes sur le m\u00e9thane<\/strong><br>Selon la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipcc.ch\/report\/ar6\/syr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GIEC (AR6)<\/a>En effet, pour faire face \u00e0 l'urgence climatique et \u00e0 ses effets d\u00e9vastateurs sur les populations, il faut s'attaquer d'urgence et \u00e0 court terme aux \u00e9missions de m\u00e9thane. Les partisans du GNL \u00e9clairent les d\u00e9cideurs politiques sur l'ampleur r\u00e9elle des effets du GNL sur le climat et la sant\u00e9, tout en mettant en p\u00e9ril un avenir viable sur cette plan\u00e8te.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L'OMI est l'organe des Nations unies charg\u00e9 de r\u00e9glementer le transport maritime international. <strong>Il n'existe actuellement aucune r\u00e9glementation internationale sp\u00e9cifique concernant les \u00e9missions de m\u00e9thane des navires. <\/strong>Cependant, il existe plusieurs possibilit\u00e9s d'int\u00e9grer compl\u00e8tement le m\u00e9thane dans le cadre r\u00e9glementaire de l'OMI lors de la r\u00e9union du comit\u00e9 de protection du milieu marin (MEPC83).
