Aujourd'hui, dans leur dernier souffle, les Merpeople d'Ocean Rebellion ont remis une lettre au minist\u00e8re portugais de l'environnement pour demander une r\u00e9union sur la protection de l'eau et des oc\u00e9ans au Portugal. Cette demande intervient alors que le monde conna\u00eet le mois de juin le plus chaud jamais enregistr\u00e9 sur terre et sur mer, les temp\u00e9ratures oc\u00e9aniques atteignant de nouveaux sommets pour le troisi\u00e8me mois cons\u00e9cutif.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ocean Rebellion remet la lettre au minist\u00e8re<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ocean Rebellion a intensifi\u00e9 et pr\u00e9voit d'intensifier sa campagne de d\u00e9sob\u00e9issance civile non violente au cours de l'ann\u00e9e afin de faire pression sur le gouvernement portugais pour qu'il prenne des mesures climatiques drastiques. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En mars, les Merpeople sont morts sur les marches de la plage urbaine de Terriero de Paco<\/a> dans le cadre de la procession de la Journ\u00e9e de l'eau. Aujourd'hui, les Merpeople intensifient leur action en ciblant le minist\u00e8re de l'environnement. Si le minist\u00e8re ne r\u00e9pond pas ou ne satisfait pas \u00e0 la demande de r\u00e9union, Ocean Rebellion continuera d'intensifier ses actions \u00e0 son encontre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans cette action, Ocean Rebellion a \u00e9t\u00e9 rejoint par le cofondateur d'Extinction Rebellion, Robin Boardman, 25 ans. Il raconte :
\"Nous devons nous lever lorsque notre monde s'effondre. C'est la seule chance que nous, les jeunes, avons d'avoir un avenir. Le minist\u00e8re portugais doit r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 nos demandes pour cr\u00e9er un avenir habitable. Il s'agit d'une crise de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale. La survie de l'\u00c9tat portugais est en danger, la trinit\u00e9 de la s\u00e9cheresse mortelle, de la perte massive de r\u00e9coltes et de la chaleur inhabitable est sur nous\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ana Maria Valinho, membre d'Ocean Rebellion et infirmi\u00e8re sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans l'aide nationale et internationale, ajoute :
\"Le manque de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l'eau au Portugal est une crise sanitaire nationale\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Danilo Morreia, membre d'Ocean Rebellion, dirigeant syndical et employ\u00e9 d'un centre d'appel, explique : 
\"Nous avons besoin d'une transition juste qui aide les travailleurs \u00e0 quitter les industries maritimes tr\u00e8s polluantes\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ocean Rebellion exige que le minist\u00e8re :
- Dites la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 sur nos oc\u00e9ans qui se meurent.
- Mettre fin \u00e0 la perte de biodiversit\u00e9, aux \u00e9missions des bateaux de croisi\u00e8re et \u00e0 l'exploitation mini\u00e8re en eaux profondes d'ici \u00e0 2025.
- Organiser une assembl\u00e9e citoyenne sur la crise de l'eau au Portugal.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
