El GNL es un combustible f\u00f3sil que deja escapar metano mortal a lo largo de toda su cadena de suministro. Est\u00e1 causando muertes prematuras all\u00ed donde se produce y est\u00e1 calentando el planeta a un ritmo alarmante. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\/about-us\/\">GNL MARINO<\/a> es una plataforma de presi\u00f3n creada para convencer a todo el mundo de que el GNL ayudar\u00e1 al transporte mar\u00edtimo a transitar hacia un futuro m\u00e1s ecol\u00f3gico. Pero esto es mentira. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigaciones recientes han sacado a la luz las mentiras de plataformas de presi\u00f3n industrial como <a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\/\">MAR\/GNL<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/scijournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com\/doi\/10.1002\/ese3.1934\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">La investigaci\u00f3n revisada por expertos<\/a> revela que el GNL extra\u00eddo y exportado desde Estados Unidos es 33% m\u00e1s contaminante que el carb\u00f3n. A lo largo del proceso de extracci\u00f3n y suministro de GNL se producen fugas de metano que causan problemas de salud y la destrucci\u00f3n de zonas y comunidades costeras <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/article\/2024\/jul\/24\/fossil-fuel-liquified-natural-gas-louisiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dondequiera que aparezca una planta de GNL.<\/a> Estas mismas fugas contin\u00faan a bordo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transportenvironment.org\/articles\/methane-escaping-from-green-gas-powered-ships-fuelling-climate-crisis-investigation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Buques propulsados por GNL<\/a>contribuyendo a acelerar el colapso clim\u00e1tico. Para encubrir esta verdad inc\u00f3moda, la industria pregona <a href=\"https:\/\/saynotolng.org\/resource\/biomethane-infographic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">biometano<\/a> y<a href=\"https:\/\/saynotolng.org\/resource\/factsheet-e-lng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> e-metano<\/a> productos que s\u00f3lo representan el 6% del mercado de la UE y a\u00fan menos en todo el mundo (y ambos siguen filtrando metano a lo largo de sus cadenas de suministro). La escala industrial del lavado verde del GNL ha convertido el <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imo.org\/en\/MediaCentre\/MeetingSummaries\/Pages\/MEPC-default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ONU OMI MEPC<\/a> en una marioneta de la industria de los combustibles f\u00f3siles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"7 de abril de 2025\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pYIYSdRkjKM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u2b06\ufe0f Bilitaki Lovo, representante de la <a href=\"https:\/\/mcstrmi.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centro de Transporte Sostenible de Micronesia<\/a> explica c\u00f3mo afecta la contaminaci\u00f3n del transporte mar\u00edtimo a la vida de los isle\u00f1os del Pac\u00edfico, contaminaci\u00f3n que no se ver\u00e1 favorecida por una transici\u00f3n a la econom\u00eda de mercado. <a href=\"https:\/\/oceanrebellion.earth\/es\/liquefied-natural-gas-lng-the-facts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GNL<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EL \u00c9XITO DEL LAVADO VERDE DEL GNL<\/strong><br><a href=\"https:\/\/sea-lng.org\/about-us\/\">GNL MARINO<\/a> ha tenido mucho \u00e9xito, tanto que empresas como <a href=\"https:\/\/shipandbunker.com\/news\/world\/993488-maersk-backtracks-on-lng-skepticism-in-large-scale-new-ship-order-plans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maersk,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/stop-royal-caribbean-s-misleading-cruise-claims-that-lng-fuel-is-clean-a52e13c8-8f41-4b06-abe7-1745b76f4ffb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Royal Caribbean<\/a>y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.offshore-energy.biz\/msc-cruises-orders-two-new-lng-powered-world-class-ships-at-chantiers-de-latlantique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MSC<\/a> han sido <a href=\"https:\/\/bw-group.com\/our-businesses\/bw-lng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">promocionando sus buques de GNL<\/a> como \"ecol\u00f3gico\" y vender esta mentira al p\u00fablico en general. Es m\u00e1s, la OMI est\u00e1 convencida de esta mentira y no est\u00e1 haciendo nada para impedir que el GNL se convierta en el combustible f\u00f3sil preferido para el transporte mar\u00edtimo: solo en la UE, el consumo de GNL por parte de los buques se ha duplicado, pasando de 2,2 millones de toneladas (Mt) en 2018 a 4,4 Mt en 2022. Las emisiones de metano se han m\u00e1s que duplicado entre 2018 y 2023 en la UE, constituyendo 26% de las emisiones totales de metano del sector del transporte en 2022, un aumento atribuido en gran medida al creciente uso del GNL como combustible mar\u00edtimo, seg\u00fan un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emsa.europa.eu\/emter-2025\/full-report.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EMSA<\/a> informe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El gaslighting es una forma de manipulaci\u00f3n psicol\u00f3gica utilizada para hacerte dudar de tus propias percepciones y cordura, a menudo distorsionando los hechos o la realidad. Los partidarios del GNL emplean t\u00e1cticas de gaslighting, como la financiaci\u00f3n de investigaciones y la cita selectiva de estudios que apoyan su narrativa. <a href=\"https:\/\/saynotolng.org\/resource\/setting-the-record-straight-say-no-to-lng-responds-to-sea-lng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mientras desacredita a los investigadores que destacan los riesgos del GNL<\/a>. Tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n socavando las voces disidentes de la comunidad y los l\u00edderes de opini\u00f3n tach\u00e1ndolos de \"alarmistas\" u \"obstruccionistas\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este tipo de empresas, que se dedican a maquillar de verde sus declaraciones de sostenibilidad, pueden estar violando sus responsabilidades legales con los accionistas y arriesgarse a ser demandadas si estos riesgos materiales, incluido el riesgo de litigio, no se reflejan adecuadamente en sus cuentas auditadas.  Del mismo modo, las agencias de calificaci\u00f3n crediticia que no detecten este \"maquillaje verde\" tampoco estar\u00e1n proporcionando informaci\u00f3n precisa sobre sostenibilidad a sus suscriptores del sector financiero, poniendo en riesgo su propia credibilidad y sus modelos de negocio.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por no hablar del incumplimiento de las responsabilidades \u00e9ticas con las partes interesadas en general para evitar el colapso del clima, la naturaleza y la sociedad por medio de las emisiones fugitivas de metano y carbono f\u00f3sil que resultan del GNL. Lejos de ser limpio, el GNL es uno de los combustibles m\u00e1s sucios que existen.
