Gestern wurden FishStixx und SeaWeed am Plage du Centenaire verhaftet, am ersten Tag der UNOC 2025<\/a> in Nizza.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zun\u00e4chst dachte die \u00f6rtliche Polizei, dass es sich bei den Aufnahmen der Band um einen Protest von Greenpeace handelte, denen zuvor der Zugang zum Strand f\u00fcr ihr \"Tiefsee-Bergbau-Fahrzeug\" verwehrt worden war. Als sie von der Identit\u00e4t der Band \u00fcberzeugt waren (wir spielten ihnen etwas von der schrecklichen Musik vor), bestand die Stadtpolizei immer noch darauf, die Band zu verh\u00f6ren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die beiden Bandmitglieder, von denen eines die Socke noch an seinem Glied trug, wurden in einen Polizeiwagen verfrachtet und auf die Wache geschleust. Wir schickten einen unserer Mitarbeiter mit ihnen mit, aber ihm wurde der Zugang verweigert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Meeresboden-T\u00f6ter <\/strong>
Die Seabed Slayers sind um den gesamten Meeresboden besorgt und wurden aus <\/p>\n\n\n\n

die ber\u00fcchtigten \"Polymetallic Nodules\" - die Deep Sea Mining (DSM) Heavy Metal Band von Ocean Rebellion, die Parkpl\u00e4tze und Konferenzen in der ganzen DSM-Welt begeistert hat. Und wie Sie wissen, ist der Meeresboden das gr\u00f6\u00dfte \u00d6kosystem der Erde und wird von der Industrie an allen Fronten bedroht. Erst k\u00fcrzlich hat Donald Trump der Tiefsee den Krieg erkl\u00e4rt, indem er Wiederbelebung des Goldrausches im Tiefseebergbau<\/a> und die Wiederbelebung der scheiternden Gerard Barron und sein Schneeballsystem \"The Metals Company\".<\/a> Die Grundschleppnetzfischerei ist genau dasselbe, es ist eine Industrie, die sich auf die Gewinnung konzentriert, ohne sich um den Schaden zu k\u00fcmmern, den sie anrichtet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die \"Seabed Slayers\" wissen, dass alle mineralgewinnenden Industrien am Meeresboden gleich sind und die einzige Antwort darin besteht, sie jetzt zu beenden. Der Meeresboden ist keine Ressource, sondern ein \u00d6kosystem, das der gemeinsamen Pflege bedarf. Traditionelle Fischereigemeinschaften wissen das, denn sie leben von ihm. Das Gleiche kann man nicht von den Eigent\u00fcmern industrieller Trawler, Tiefseebergbauunternehmen und Risikokapitalgebern sagen, die den Meeresboden nur als kommerzielle Chance sehen. Aber was passiert, wenn der Meeresboden leergefegt ist? Glauben sie wirklich, dass es ihnen dann besser geht? Schlie\u00dflich ist der Meeresboden die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Kohlenstoffsenke der Erde, und der Ozean gibt uns jeden zweiten Atemzug, den wir nehmen - k\u00f6nnen sie (und wir) wirklich verwalten <\/em>ohne das? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
