Les membres d'Ocean Rebellion sont arriv\u00e9s dans la belle ville de Lisbonne ce week-end.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Lisbonne accueille les d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s de l'ONU et (quelques) leaders mondiaux, selon ses propres termes :<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

La Conf\u00e9rence sur les oc\u00e9ans, co-organis\u00e9e par les gouvernements du Kenya et du Portugal, arrive \u00e0 un moment critique o\u00f9 le monde cherche \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre un grand nombre de probl\u00e8mes profonds de nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s mis \u00e0 nu par la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 et qui n\u00e9cessiteront des transformations structurelles majeures et des solutions communes et partag\u00e9es ancr\u00e9es dans les ODD. Pour mobiliser l'action, la conf\u00e9rence cherchera \u00e0 propulser des solutions innovantes fond\u00e9es sur la science, qui sont indispensables pour ouvrir un nouveau chapitre de l'action mondiale en faveur des oc\u00e9ans.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

De grandes ambitions et un acronyme - SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals, mais est-ce que cela repr\u00e9sente vraiment quelque chose ?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Et que sont les innovations fond\u00e9es sur la science ?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

L'ONU compte deux agences qui, d'une mani\u00e8re ou d'une autre, \"s'occupent\" de l'oc\u00e9an. L'Organisation maritime internationale (OMI) et l'Autorit\u00e9 internationale des fonds marins (AIFM). Et en ce qui concerne la p\u00eache, l'ONU a cr\u00e9\u00e9 l'ODD 14, un engagement volontaire qui ne fournit que des conseils.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

L'OMI et l'ISA ont toutes deux, chacune \u00e0 leur mani\u00e8re, l'intention d'aider l'industrie et l'ODD 14 semble \u00eatre enti\u00e8rement ignor\u00e9 alors que la p\u00eache industrielle est en augmentation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Une solution simple \u00e0 certains de nos probl\u00e8mes de surp\u00eache consiste \u00e0 interdire le chalutage de fond, dans le monde entier, d\u00e8s aujourd'hui. La merveilleuse Sylvia Earle est certainement d'accord.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Nos membres se sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9par\u00e9s \u00e0 une semaine charg\u00e9e en organisant un atelier. Nous avons invit\u00e9 des artistes et des interpr\u00e8tes locaux \u00e0 s'impliquer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
