\u2b06\ufe0f CLIA-Kreuzfahrtwoche<\/a> wurde in Rotterdam frech empfangen. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die dreit\u00e4gige CLIA Cruise Week wurde in Rotterdam unerwartet von ver\u00e4rgerten Anwohnern und K\u00fcnstlern begr\u00fc\u00dft, die es leid sind, die Schadstoffe der Stadt einzuatmen. Die Veranstaltung bringt laut eigener Aussage \"die f\u00fchrenden K\u00f6pfe der Kreuzfahrtindustrie, politische Entscheidungstr\u00e4ger, Gesch\u00e4ftspartner und Zulieferer zusammen, um die Zukunft der Branche zu diskutieren\" - die Anwohner w\u00fcrden es vorziehen, wenn die Branche abreisen und stattdessen etwas Sinnvolles tun w\u00fcrde.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n \n THEre ist<\/span>\n \n \n keine Zukunft f\u00fcr<\/span>\n \n \n Verschmutzung<\/span>\n \n \n Tourismus<\/span>\n \n \n <\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n

In dem Moment, als die CLIA Cruiseweek feierlich er\u00f6ffnet wurde, betrat eine Gruppe von drei\u00dfig Mitgliedern der Extinction Rebellion NL die Ausstellungshalle. Die Rebellen h\u00e4ngten ein gro\u00dfes Transparent mit der Aufschrift \"You Are Not Welcome Here\" auf. Au\u00dferdem warfen sie eine Handvoll schwarzes Konfetti \u00fcber die Messest\u00e4nde der verschiedenen Kreuzfahrtunternehmen. Zur gleichen Zeit besetzte eine zweite Gruppe die Treppen des Geb\u00e4udes am Koopgoot. Die Passanten wurden aufgefordert, ihre Unzufriedenheit mit der Kreuzfahrtindustrie zu zeigen, indem sie ihren nackten Hintern durch ein Loch in einem Protestschild mit der Aufschrift steckten: \"Von wegen Kreuzfahrt\"<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Ist es nicht verr\u00fcckt, dass kleine Unternehmen ab n\u00e4chstem Jahr nur noch mit einem emissionsfreien Transporter in die Stadt fahren d\u00fcrfen, w\u00e4hrend diese extrem schmutzigen Schiffe direkt ins Stadtzentrum dampfen?\"<\/em><\/strong> erkl\u00e4rte Pim de Vleeschhouwer.  \"Und dann subventioniert die Gemeinde auch noch die Betreiber!\"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ein Kreuzfahrtschiff st\u00f6\u00dft im Durchschnitt doppelt so viel CO2 pro Kilometer und Person aus wie ein Flugzeug. Au\u00dferdem verursachen Kreuzfahrtschiffe extrem hohe Emissionen von Schwefeloxiden (SOx). Diese sch\u00e4dlichen Stoffe k\u00f6nnen Atemprobleme und Lungenkrebs verursachen. Im Mittelpunkt der Konferenz steht die \"Nachhaltigkeit\" der Branche durch die Umstellung auf LNG-Kraftstoff.<\/a> Allerdings wird bei der Verbrennung von LNG weniger CO2 ausgesto\u00dfen, wird viel mehr Methan freigesetzt.<\/a> Dies macht LNG keineswegs umweltfreundlicher, sondern kann sogar sch\u00e4dlicher sein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ocean Rebellion steht an der Seite von Extinction Rebellion NL und fordert, dass die Stadt Rotterdam ehrlich mit den von Kreuzfahrtschiffen verursachten Sch\u00e4den umgehen muss. Die Stadt Rotterdam weigert sich, die Gesundheit ihrer B\u00fcrgerinnen und B\u00fcrger an die erste Stelle zu setzen, und deshalb m\u00fcssen wir aufstehen und Kreuzfahrten aus Rotterdam verbannen.<\/em><\/strong> Laut De Vleeschhouwer.
