Die portugiesische Organisation Ocean Rebellion hat anl\u00e4sslich des Weltwassertags mit einer Veranstaltung auf den fragilen Zustand des Ozeans aufmerksam gemacht. Bewegung Pelas \u00c1guas e Serras<\/strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hunderte von Arbeitern, die sich auf dem Heimweg befanden, sahen gestrandete Meerestiere, die sich in Fischereiger\u00e4ten und Plastikm\u00fcll verfangen hatten, erstickt von den weggeworfenen Abf\u00e4llen unserer Wegwerfkultur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Portugal wie auch in vielen anderen Teilen der Welt mangelt es heute an Ma\u00dfnahmen zum Schutz unserer nat\u00fcrlichen Ressourcen, was zu einer Reihe von Meeressterben, D\u00fcrreperioden und Waldbr\u00e4nden f\u00fchrt, die viele V\u00f6lker der Welt bedrohen. Ein klares und beunruhigendes Beispiel ist der Plan f\u00fcr Tagebau in Covas do Barroso<\/a>Weltkulturerbe der Landwirtschaft, in der N\u00e4he unseres einzigen portugiesischen Nationalparks Peneda-Ger\u00eas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So verr\u00fcckt es auch klingen mag, im Jahr 2023 m\u00fcssen wir immer noch f\u00fcr den Schutz unseres grundlegendsten Rechts k\u00e4mpfen: das Recht auf Leben. Das ist nat\u00fcrlich nur m\u00f6glich, weil unser Planet Erde unsere Bed\u00fcrfnisse befriedigen kann - aber nicht mehr lange, wenn wir diesen Weg der st\u00e4ndigen Vernachl\u00e4ssigung dessen, was Leben m\u00f6glich macht, weiterverfolgen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ocean Rebellion schw\u00f6rt, die portugiesische Regierung unter Druck zu setzen, indem wir auf die Stra\u00dfen und an die K\u00fcste gehen. Wir werden weiterhin alle daran erinnern, dass die Erde zum Wohle allen Lebens gesch\u00fctzt werden muss. Die Erde darf nicht wie eine wirtschaftliche Ressource behandelt und zum Nutzen einiger weniger Menschen ausgebeutet werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
